Uploading a new file with corrections

I have searched the forum for the answer to this question and find conflicting answers. It sounds like Amazon has changed the overall DTP system a couple of times and that might be why there is conflicting information out there.

I have a title currently in my shelf for which I have discovered a couple of needed corrections. I would like to create a new HTML file and re-upload this title.

When I have made previous changes to the description and to the price, the changes sometimes have taken several days to become effective, but while the changes were processing the title remained for sale with the previous description and/or price. Would this be the case if I uploaded revised text? Would the book remain for sale as-is while the change was processing?

I'm asking because, despite my low expectations, the title is actually selling, and my sales rank is creeping up to the point where the title appears on the first or second "Browse" page in a couple of its Amazon subcategories. I don't want to do anything right now that will remove the title from being available for sale and crash the sales rank. If uploading new text will make the title unavailable for sale while the change is processing, I might hold off on making the changes for now - but if the title will remain for sale while the change is processing, there's no downside to making the corrections and I'll just do it.

Does anyone know if the title will remain for sale while changes to the book itself are being processed?

Thomas,

Yes, the book will remain for sale in its original form while the new one is being processed.

Good luck!

Yep, what he said. The revisions to the product description or to the submitted publication does not interrupt the sale of the existing book.
